About Hannah

Clinical Psychologist

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for helping my clients to overcome distress and become the most content versions of themselves.

My Background

Finding a therapist can be challenging and it’s hard to know where to start. Knowing more about a therapist can help you to make that decision and work out who is best for you.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I provide highly specialised and evidence based talking therapies and workshops for a range of emotional difficulties. I have over 15 years experience working with people who are struggling with their wellbeing and I offer an individualised approach to therapy.

I am very experienced in helping my clients to overcome their struggles and distress, and live lives which feel much more satisfying, meaningful, and authentic.

I am passionate about providing therapies which are effective and proven to help. As such I am trained in a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Compassion focused therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).

In addition to my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I have obtained a PhD in Psychology and have several journal articles published in leading Psychology and Psychiatry journals.

In 2023 I became a trustee for the men’s mental health charity Mentell. It’s an honour to be able to support the charity as it grows and play a role in it’s development.

Compassion is at the heart of the work I do, and my aim in my work is to help my clients feel safe enough to be able to share with me what is holding them back in life, so I can support them to move forward.

My approach is one of non-judgement and warmth. I am passionate about normalising the experience of emotional difficulties and I believe that as humans, none of us are immune from struggling with our wellbeing. Accessing help can feel scary, it’s a big first step. I try hard to put my clients at ease right from the start of the process. I have a wealth of experience helping clients make some positive changes in their life, and I would love to help you to do this as well.

You don’t have to be experiencing “mental health difficulties” to access therapy. I also work with people who may not necessarily be experiencing mental health difficulties, rather they are feeling “stuck” in life and want to be able to move forward. My 1:1 and group coaching allow me to help clients clarify their values, goals and what matters to them. We look at how they can make changes to be able to forward in a direction that feels meaningful, and to achieve their goals.

My approach is tailored to each person I work with. We will develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and help you to make sense of them. We will then work towards providing you with the tools to make positive practical and emotional changes.
